Connect is a typeface which serves as a minimal set of instructions to create letterforms and glyphs. In contrast with the immediacy of the text message, connect encourages play and interaction from the user, and promotes a different experience with type and communication.

This system was inspired by pen and paper activities such as connect the dots and hangman, in which participants are required to interact with the mind and hand to solve the ultimate message. Growing up, many of us seem to lose the intimacy of directly interacting with the world around us. I wanted to create something that you could lose your mind into for a second, with an “aha” moment of satisfaction in the end that would connect people to the moment, as well as provide and enjoyable and engaging experience.
